Even the most dedicated of clean eaters gets the urge for something more from time to time. Some like salty and some like sweet. I am a sweet lover myself.
It can be pretty terrifying to think of satisfying that sweet tooth when you have worked so hard to get to where you are with your body.
What to do? Should you deprive yourself?
Depriving yourself can have disastrous effects in the long run.
Why not instead try the two recipes that I have for you below. These are two of my favorites and I have used them with many of my clients who also enjoy them.
They taste great and they will not wreck your hard work. Save these for when you have a real sweet tooth or allow yourself to enjoy them once per week depending on what your goals are.
Angels Dream:
1 slice of angel food cake or 1 mini cake
3-4 tbsp of fat free and low sugar cool whip
½ cup fresh or frozen berries.
Mix together and enjoy. You can also blend up the berries in a magic bullet and warm them in the microwave if you would like to use them as sauce over your angel food and cool whip.
If you want to up your protein power: Mix a 1/2 scoop of vanilla whey protein in with a 1/2 cup of fat free/low sugar cool whip and blend them together before you mix it with your angel food cake.
Ricotta Romance:
½ cup low fat ricotta cheese
2 tsp vanilla whey protein
1 tablespoon all natural peanut butter or 1/3 cup of fresh or frozen berries.
blend together in a blender or magic bullet. You can then either eat as a pudding or freeze it and enjoy it more like ice cream.
Enjoy these sweet treats as a great way to stick to your fat loss goals and keep that Six Pack intact.
