We are now into the shorter fall days. Changing leaves and cooler temperatures always leave me looking for ways to continue to add excitement to my eating. A little variety can go a long way in preventing boredom.
I thought I would share with you one of my favorite fall protein shakes that goes hand in hand with Thanksgiving and even Halloween.
Pumpkin Spice Is Nice Shake:
- 1 scoop I-PLX vanilla protein powder from Precision Sport Supplements or comparable
- 1/2 cup Pumpkin Pie Mix. I like Farmers Market Organic Pumpkin Pie Mix
- If you use plain pumpkin in a can then be sure ot add 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp allspice, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, 1/4 tsp ginger to taste
- 1 cup skim milk
- 2-5 drops of vanilla creme stevia or 2 splenda sweetners
- Optional 1/4 cup fat free Cool Whip for extra treat.
- Ice
Blend all ingredients together and enjoy.
Approx: 324cals, 36gp, 43gc, 1gf This does not include if you add the fat free cool whip.
