It is important to include a variety of foods in your diet and protein is no different. Salmon is a tasty and nutritious addition to your diet.
Its texture and flavor make it enjoyable to eat but it is also an excellent source of healthy fats and protein.
There is no doubt that this is a recipe that clean eaters can go and enjoy.
Barbecue Roasted Salmon:
- 1/4 cup pineapple juice
- 2tbsp lemon juice
- 4 -6 oz salmon fillets
- 2 tbsp organic cane sugar -optional
- 4 tsp chili powder
- 2 tsp grated lemon zest
- 3/4 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- cooking spray
- lemon wedges-optional
Combine the first three ingredients in a ziploc bag, seal and marinate in the fridge for 1 hour, turning occasionally.
Preheat the oven to 400 F. Remove fish from bag. Combine sugar and the next 5 ingredients in a bowl. Rub over the fish. Place fish in a 11×7 baking dish that has been sprayed with Pam cooking spray. Bake at 400 F for 12 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Serve with lemon if you like.
Serves 4.

Attention physique athletes: This would not be a recipe that I would use for most people close to contest unless the sugar and pineapple juice were removed. It does make a great offseason dish though!!
